Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls

Oh, cinnamon rolls, banana bread. How have I not joined you before? Let me set right this injustice, join your little hands, if you will, so you can forevermore be united in holy sweet baked good matrimony. Dramatic? Over the top? I think not.


I’m just throwing it out there: break out your fat pants because you’re about to eat an entire pan of cinnamon rolls. These rolls, my friends, are out of control! Breakfast at its finest. Can I eat a plate of them every morning? Forget bran flakes, put down the granola bars, and just gimme some of these decadent sweet rolls. Worth every single second on the treadmill.


The banana bread infusion happens in two ways: 1) banana puree in the dough, and 2) banana slices and walnuts in the centers. The result is an amazingly moist, banana-bread like cinnamon roll just begging to be glazed.


Cinnamon rolls get such a bad rap for being very difficult to make and having so many rising and resting stages to the process it seems best to buy them ready made, but I'm showing you my perfect tricks for cutting the time and process in half. This means you can make these the morning of, and serve them straight out of the oven. I promise they'll be just as good as the traditional kind. I could go on and on but I'm not going to because I want you to start making these asap!



I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for new ways to bake with bananas. I like banana bread, but there are only so many times that I can make it before I get bored with it. I obviously have a problem using bananas up in time, but I’m glad that this time I did let them get old. These banana bread cinnamon rolls are a nice change in flavour and texture from banana bread. The rolls are light and airy with a delicate banana flavour.


Banana bread + cinnamon rolls. It doesn’t get much better than that, and if you love banana bread like I do, then I think you will love these sweet rolls too. With mashed banana added to the dough these rolls have the perfect taste of banana throughout a soft and tender and delicious sweet roll. Drizzled with a dairy-free glaze, these rolls are seriously irresistible.


Make these rolls for a special weekend breakfast or brunch, or on a Sunday to enjoy throughout the week (that’s a good week). And if you take these rolls to work, I can almost guarantee you’ll be the queen (or king) of the office. That’s right, so many friend requests, so little time. Taste a warm banana cinnamon roll with the melty glaze. Wow. Just… wow. This is breakfast done right. Enjoy and be sure to eat them warm.


No matter who you're serving these to, people will go nuts over them. If you grew up loving those cinnamon rolls drizzled with vanilla icing they sold at the mall, you now have them right here in a slightly healthier and 100% vegan version. They are perfect as a snack or dessert too!
