I don’t know about you, but in my family, we go through a lot of bread. There’s something deeply satisfying about a slice of white bread. and when that white bread goodness is homemade? The best! Plus, I love the smell of freshly baked bread. This year, my goal is to work on sharing baking basics with you; recipes that are those basic everyday ones that we all need in our arsenal. This white bread recipe can be used for literally anything. It makes great toast, great sandwich bread, anything! It’s tremendously soft and has the best texture. It’s even fabulous days later, which is tough to achieve with homemade bread.

I was honestly blown away when I made it, my mum was as equally thrilled, and much to my delight, my brother was a huge fan too! This makes phenomenal peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, awesome grilled cheese, and I have eaten way more than I should just slathered with butter. If you are wondering if this bread is healthy – I believe so, especially for a white bread. There are no artificial flavours, ingredients, or preservatives. The only change I made was using water from boiling purple potatoes. Isn’t that lavender colour so beautiful?!
