Black Bean 'Meatball' Spaghetti

Friends, this feels big. Vegan meatballs made with real food that are full of flavour, don’t fall apart, aren’t mushy, and are easy to make! Let’s do this! These vegan black bean meatballs really speak for themselves. These vegan meatballs are the perfect comfort food. They’re really easy to make, so delicious, and incredibly healthy! They are savoury, sweet, almost-too-much-life-meat, delicious and seriously addicting. I bet you can’t just eat one!



This Italian-American main dish is one of my favourites and always has a spot in the meal rotation. The vegan meatballs are tender and flavourful. Plus, you’ll love that they can be browned on a sheet pan in the oven or cooked on the stovetop. I really wanted the meatball recipe to be easy, using things you may already keep on hand so you can whip these up without too much planning and/or work involved.



Holy meatballs! I mean, vegan meatballs! This recipe isn’t your traditional meatball recipe because it’s completely plant-based and perfect for any vegetarian or vegan in your family. However, you may just be able to trick those meat-lovers in your family with these easy vegan meatballs. My twist on the traditional Italian recipe here offers a few ideas for little improvements you can try one at a time to step up your game. It is:

  • 100% whole food plant-based & oil-free

  • Low in total fat while still providing essential fatty acids

  • Rich in fiber, water, and complex carbs

  • Satiating but still weight-loss friendly

  • Naturally gluten-free for those who are intolerant

  • Cholesterol-free and heart-healthy

  • Easy to find, affordable ingredients

Since I’ve already addressed my beautiful vegan friends, let me address my beautiful non-vegan friends who haven’t had black bean “meatballs” before. Don’t expect them to have the same texture as real meat balls. They won’t. But they’re really good, so don’t be afraid to try them. Also, eating a big bowl of pasta without meat and cheese will leave you feeling so much better! So whether or not you are vegan, i really hope you give this recipe a go!!
