Carrot Cake Donuts

This awesome recipe has been on the cards for a few months now and I’m really excited to share it with you guys! These carrot cake donuts are just like carrot cake, but in donut form. They’re incredibly soft, light, moist, and perfectly spiced.


Strange as it may sound, I didn’t used to like carrot cake. Nowadays, I absolutely love the stuff! I find the spiced sponge and the lemon cream glaze rather irresistible.


These carrot cake donuts are actually so easy to make (am I sounding like a broken record yet?), and I’m so pleased with how they turned out! Feel free to share this donut recipe with your vegan friends, but don’t be afraid to try them out even if you’re not vegan! The donuts are yummy, and a healthier alternative to most donut recipes (although there’s never anything wrong with treatin’ yo’self to a sweet cloud of deliciousness).



Baked donuts are like little cakes as they are baked in the oven in a donut tin. I’ve spiced these carrot cake baked donuts with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg and drizzled a sweet glaze over the top. They are truly yummy and will delight vegans and non-vegans alike.


Honestly, I’ve never been a huge fan of fried donuts. They’re just really heavy and not something I prefer to eat for breakfast. But when it comes to baked donuts? They’re so soft and light, I could literally eat the whole batch. Especially if they come in the form of carrot cake donuts and they’re topped with a creamy glaze. Oh yes!


Plus they have veggies in them too, which makes them perfectly acceptable for breakfast. Right? Right.
